Issued during the reign of King Constantine II, the coin commemorates the events of 21 April 1967 and features the famous phoenix rising before a soldier on the obverse, while the reverse displays the Royal Arms of the Kingdom of Greece supported by two heraldic figures. Struck in .835 fine silver, this large crown-sized coin remains one of the most popular modern Greek silver issues among collectors worldwide. The coin was minted at the Kremnica Mint with a limited mintage of approximately 30,000 pieces.
