A historic silver issue from the Cretan State, struck during a pivotal period when Crete was an autonomous state under international protection, prior to its union with Greece. This 1901 5 Drachmai is among the most iconic large silver coins of the era.
This example has been certified by NGC as XF Details – Obverse Scratched, indicating strong remaining design detail with a noted surface mark on the obverse.

Right-facing bust of Prince George of Greece, High Commissioner of Crete, with Greek legend «ΠΡΙΓΚΗΨ ΓΕΩΡΓΙΟΣ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ ΥΠΑΤΟΣ ΑΡΜΟΣΤΗΣ ΕΝ ΚΡΗΤΗ». Engraver signature A. Borrell below.

Displays the Cretan coat of arms crowned and flanked by two standing figures, with the legend «ΚΡΗΤΙΚΗ ΠΟΛΙΤΕΙΑ» (Cretan State). Denomination 5 ΔΡΑΧΜΑΙ below.

Returns

- A proven defective item can be returned in its original packaging within 10 days for a replacement or refund.
- Gold and silver coins are excluded from the right of withdrawal, as their price depends on the precious-metals market (Greek consumer law 2251/1994, art. 3ιβ).
- Bullion photos are indicative. Small marks or milk spots on bullion coins come from minting and are not defects.
